According to the results released on Thursday, girls have outperformed boys in both streams of Eamcet. However, boys have dominated the top five ranks in both the agriculture and engineering streams.
In the engineering stream, Sanapala Anirudh from Andhra Pradesh secured the top rank with 158.89 marks, while B Satya Raja Jaswanth, also from Andhra Pradesh, topped the agriculture stream with 155 marks. Out of the top 10 rankers in the engineering stream, nine were from Andhra Pradesh or natives of the neighboring state. Similarly, seven out of the top 10 rankers in the agriculture stream were from Andhra Pradesh.
Data shows that 84.63% of boys and 87.02% of girls qualified in the agriculture stream, while in the engineering stream, the figures stood at 79.21% and 82.07%, respectively.
Following Anirudh in the engineering stream, the top 10 rankers were Yakkanti Pani Venkata, Maneendhar Reddy, Challa Umesh Varun, Abhineet Majety, Ponnathota Pramod Kumar Reddy, Maradana Dheeraj Kumar, Vadde Shanvitha Reddy, Boyina Sanjana, Nandyala Prince Branham Reddy, and Meesalya Pranathi Sreeja.
In the agriculture stream, Nasika Venkat Teja secured the second rank, followed by Saphal Lakshmi Pasupulati, Durgempudi Karthikeya Reddy, Bora Varun Ghakravarathi, Devagudi Guru Sasidhar Reddy, Vangipuram Harshil Sai, Daddanala Sai Chidvilas Reddy, Gandhamaneni Giri Varshita, and Kollabathula Pritham Siddharth.
A total of 18,205 students appeared for the exam from Andhra Pradesh, compared to 88,309 from Telangana. The pass percentage from Andhra Pradesh was 90.67%, while from Telangana, it was 85.4%.
The results were announced by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and were released by the Education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy. The minister congratulated the candidates, colleges, schools, and parents on the results.
Upon the announcement of the results, the official website at eamcet.tsche.ac.in experienced heavy traffic, causing a temporary crash and displaying a “runtime error” message. The issue was resolved shortly after.
A total of 3,20,683 candidates registered for the exam in both streams, with a 94% participation rate. The attendance rate was 92.35% in the agriculture and medical stream and 95.09% in the engineering stream. The pass percentage was higher in the agriculture and medical stream at 86.31%, while 80.34% of engineering candidates qualified.
The Eamcet exam was conducted from May 10 to 14 in two shifts: from 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm.
During the release of the results, V. Karuna, Higher Education Secretary, Navin Mittal, Commissioner of Collegiate Education and Technical Education, Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman of Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of JNTU-Hyderabad, Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Vice-Chairman, and Dr.
