Kohli’s Magnificent Century Propels RCB to 4th Spot

Virat Kohli’s brilliant century overshadowed Heinrich Klaasen’s maiden IPL hundred as Royal Challengers Bangalore secured a convincing eight-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Klaasen’s explosive knock of 104 runs off 51 balls propelled SRH to a formidable total of 186 for five.

However, Kohli, accompanied by du Plessis, unleashed a masterclass in chasing, establishing a record-breaking 172-run opening partnership. RCB achieved the target with four balls to spare, propelling them to the fourth position in the standings.

Kohli’s sensational innings featured four sixes and 12 fours, dispelling any doubts about his ability to maintain momentum beyond the powerplay.

RCB’s win keeps them in contention for the playoffs, although they must win their next match to stay in the race with Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants.
